How to Protect Your Hair from Heat Damage

Love your blowouts and silk presses? These habits help keep your hair healthy while you enjoy heat styling.
Always use a heat protectant
A heat protectant creates a barrier between your hair and hot tools. Apply it evenly to damp or dry hair before blow drying or flat ironing.
Lower the temperature
Hotter is not always better. Use the lowest setting that still gets results, and pass the tool through each section fewer times.
Give your hair breaks
Spacing out heat styles and wearing protective or air-dried styles in between lets your hair recover.
Condition and trim
Regular deep conditioning keeps hair flexible and strong, and trims remove damaged ends before they split further. Our hair treatments are a great add-on before your next blowout.
